IWA King of Deathmatch 1995 (History & More)

On August 20, 1995, At IWA's Kawasaki Dream event in Kawasaki, Japan, 28,757 fans in attendance and the whole world bore witness to a tournament so sick, twisted and perverted, It left each competitor, and the fans watching in the arena and at home with scars, physical and mental scars that would last forever. While the event also saw "normal" wrestling, It was the utter madness, and non-stop sheer brutality of the deathmatch tournament that is most remembered. The King of Deathmatch Tournament, set up to determine the nastiest, most violent bastard in the business, was an eight man single-elimination tournament. The eight participants were Cactus Jack [Mick Foley], Terry Funk, Shoji Nakamaki, Hiroshi Ono, Leatherface, Tiger Jeet Singh, Terry Gordy and Mr. Gannosuke.
