➠ All Out News: The history book will always say that Chris Jericho was the first-ever AEW World Champion, after a hard-fought clash with Hangman Page. Debuts: Arn Anderson made his televised debut with AEW, assisting Cody to defeat Shawn Spears (who had Tully Blanchard in his corner). Plus, Former 4x Impact World Tag Team Champions Santana and Ortiz of LAX, made their debuts in the company after attacking The Young Bucks and The Lucha Brothers after their ladder match for the AAA tag team titles.
➠ Anthem Sports and Entertainment purchased majority shares in AXS TV and HDNet, thus going into partnership with Mark Cuban and Steve Harvey. This has led to Impact Wrestling having a new and seemingly permanent TV home on AXS TV, which also plays host to NJPW and WOW. Owner of Anthem S&E, Leonard Asper, revealed that Anthem will be available in about 150 million homes worldwide, including about 110 million homes served by multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs) in the U.S. and Canada.
➠ BIG CHANGES: The week is now full to the brim of TV wrestling. Here are the major changes coming to the wrestling schedule. WWE SmackDown Live will now be known as Friday Night SmackDown, Following the move to Friday nights on FOX. Impact Wrestling will now be on Tuesday nights on AXS TV following the acquisition of the network. WWE Raw will remain on Monday nights, NXT will remain on Wednesdays on USA, and 205 Live will be moving to Friday nights. AEW Dynamite will be on Wednesday on TNT, and will air on ITV4 in the UK on a four-day delay on Sundays at 08:20, whilst a shortened one hour highlight version will air on Mondays at 23:45.
➠ The National Wrestling Alliance is back on a weekly basis with its new show titled POWER. The first tapings took place on September 30 and October 1 inside of a cosy and classic studio setting. Legend Jim Cornette and Joe Galli are the voices of the new show that will air on YouTube and Facebook on Tuesdays at 18:05. The first episode will take place on October 8..
➠ Wrestling legend Lisa Marie Varon, aka Victoria in WWE and Tara in Impact Wrestling, retired from in-ring competition on 21/09/19 after one final match against fellow WWE alumni Melina Perez, in the main event of the show. The match took place at Masters of Ring Entertainment at a live event in Kenansville, North Carolina, and Lisa Marie defended her Masters of Ring Entertainment women's championship, in which she is the inaugural champion. ➠ Rush and Dragon Lee on 28/09 were both released from CMLL. The explanation for their releases is disobeying programming and company guidelines.
➠ Rick Bogner, aka Big Titan in Japan, and the man who portrayed Razor Ramon when Scott Hall left for WCW, sadly passed away at the age of 49 on 20/09. RIP Richard Bogner. 1970-2019
