NJPW OWNER INDICATES WWE TO BE ENEMY COMPANY OF NJPW.
On Twitter, The Owner of NJPW made some very interesting comments in regards to Working with WWE. He hinted that due to WWE setting up new terrortoties in the UK and starting in Japan, The WWE may be the enemy company of NJPW. Here is what he said on Twitter; Owner of NJPW, Takaaki Kidani Twitter interview; "WWE strategy 1: raise roughly 2 billion Yen from the network to create a network of global territories and tie up talent. It's very possible WWE purchase a promotion in Japan. WWE are shoring up their network because of cable cutters and prevalence of streaming, meaning declining TV ratings. The cable TV structure as is will collapse in the US within 3-5 years. There are many reasons for WWE to create local territories. It cuts cost just to send talent on international tours and not the whole infrastructure. WWE are only functionally profitable in the U.S., Canada and U.K. They have TV elsewhere but that's all. By creating territories, they're able to actually create products with awareness of cultural differences and characteristics of markets. WWE have had difficulty in creating new stars. By going to local territories and broadcasting them, they can create network stars. WWE are taking big gambles, in IT for one. This isn't the platform to discuss NJPW strategy fully, but we will announce something soon. We are entering a phase where you are either with WWE or against them. WWE have a lot of weaknesses and time is not on their side."
SHANE ALMOST RETURNED TO FULL POWER IN 2012, HHH & STEPH WERE FREAKED OUT.
Shane McMahon was intending on returning to WWE sooner than many thought. As in 2012, Shane had a secret meeting with his dad Vince to discuss a return to the company. Shane left WWE in 2009 due to a real power struggle with Vince and his sister Stephanie McMahon. In 2012, Shane met with Vince at the WWE's production office, Which is separate to the WWE HQ. The discussion was about Vince being stressed due to poor ratings, and Triple H was working on NXT. When Stephanie found out that Shane was going to be there, She went white in the face, and Triple H freaked out. At the meeting, Shane was there with James Frey, the former CEO of Full Fathom Five. Shane wanted to take over Creative and the writers room, Which Frey and his team would become consultants. The meeting was set up by Kevin Dunn [WWE Executive Vice President of Production]. Kevin Dunn is very close to Shane, And there's tremendous tension between Kevin, and Paul and Stephanie. They feel like the company is theirs, but they don't have power to control Kevin. Vince turned down Shane's offer at the time, and four years later, Shane would return to WWE.

Michael will however remain with NJPW, Where he has found success over in Japan, And has put forth his position on future ROH/NJPW joint PPV's, Which he said he'd be open to doing if he is asked. HERO NOT RETURNING TO WWE, MARTINEZ NOT RETIRING.
Once again, Pro Wrestling Dirt Sheets have flooded false news items, This time with Indie Wrestling Veteran Chris Hero, Stating that he was returning to WWE and competing under his NXT name Kassius Ohno again, But Hero shot it down with a bold and clear statement. Hero wrote "I can't help but to be disappointed by irresponsible journalism." Similar thing happened no longer than a week earlier, With Women's Wrestling star Shelly Martinez [Salinas in TNA and Ariel in ECW], With dirt sheets reporting of her retirement from wrestling. It came about when a post was made on her personal facebook account alledging her decision to retire. Shelly, who with good reason for frustration wrote "Whoever wrote this doesn't know what they are talking about PS my personal page is still up. I hate people. I never wrote this, it's false and I'm disappointed you reported this with out confirming if it was true or not."
MASSIVE TALENT RAID IMMANENT / VINCE MCMAHON CHANGED MIND ON INDIES FOR WWE NETWORK.
Its going to be tough new year start for ROH, As the unfortunate timing of WWE needing more talents coincides with the expiring of many of ROH's stars. WWE are going to be raiding the field of Indie talent in early 2017, As WWE are said be in signing mode right now and officials are working harder than ever to study the indie scene. WWE apparently have people watching iPPV events and doing complete agent reports on them. The person behind this talent plundering raid, Is Triple H, As he feels that they need new stars for NXT and the expansion in 2017.
Note: On the signing of ROH talent Steve Corino by WWE, ROH didn't put up much of a fight to keep him due to wanting to save money for more key star's new contracts as WWE will be offering more money in bids to plunder the roster's key stars.
When it looked like Vince McMahon was in a new frame of mind when it came to adding Indie content to the WWE Network, Vince has once again changed his mind. McMahon's mind clearly swings from side to side all the time, As seen in constant changes in any plans. So it is possible for him to change his mind again, But Vince at the moment is against the idea of bringing in Indie content for the struggling Network. In one of the recent surveys by WWE to the fans, Vince was soured by the cost of adding live indie shows to the Network, Which would increase cost of running the Network without any significant increase in subscriber numbers.

WRESTLER INTERVIEWS
Those lads from the Two Man Power Trip Interviewed former IWGP Intercontinental Champion and former World Champion, Michael Elgin!
Podcast episode #223 of The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling features a current New Japan Pro Wrestling Star and former Ring of Honor World Champion, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin. Still recovering from an orbital injury suffered earlier this year “Big Mike” gives Chad and John Poz an update on his status for WrestleKingdom 11 and if he has been cleared to return to action for NJPW. In this excerpt Elgin also discusses what it means to him personally to be considered a top star in New Japan and how he is now being compared to wrestlers that he looked up to as a fan. **THIS INTERVIEW WAS RECORDED ON 11/21/16**
Update on his broken orbital bone:“The eye is great. What happened was they take bone from my hip and put it under my orbital because if you use the same bones there it can break easier, so if you put the bone from your hip in there it makes it a little more sturdy so if you take impact to the orbital again and it won't break so easy. So they did that and to my understanding, I got home and you are supposed to wait three weeks to go to the gym (which I did wait) but my hip was still a little swollen and I just thought (since) there was a surgery that it is going to happen. I then worked out like two days and it just kept swelling more and more. I went into the hospital to have it checked and they were afraid I may have gotten a staph infection.”“They checked if there was any bacteria or any staph infection and there was not. They had a little surgery to drain it and double check wanting to make sure there was nothing on the bone and cause harm and it was clean. They gave me antibiotics just in case because sometimes on the bone they can lie dormant for a little bit and spring out of nowhere and they wanted to do that as a safety precaution. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow so I'm hoping that is all good news and that I will be back in the gym and back wrestling soon."
Is it his goal to return to the ring in time for NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 11: “That is definitely the goal I have in mind. You don't want to miss the Tokyo Domes so I will not be missing that.”
Wrestling at last year’s Wrestle Kingdom show against Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor World Title: “I have mixed emotions about it. It was surreal to be in the Tokyo Dome and be in a venue that I watched so many great matches from but it was also a downer that it was like here is a Ring of Honor match on a New Japan card. Not that I didn't want to wrestle Jay Lethal because I think he is super talented and one of the best wrestlers I have ever been in the ring with but I would have loved to my first time there to be against a New Japan guy in a New Japan match (if that makes sense). But it still doesn't dull down the experience of being at the Tokyo Dome and being part of it. I am definitely looking forward to getting in there in a New Japan sanctioned match rather than a Ring of Honor sanctioned match.”
Does he see the impact he has had in Japan as a top guy and is he surprised by how far he has come in one year: “Without trying to sound (like) egotistical or anything like that it is not so crazy to me for the simple reason that I knew that if I really, really wanted to do something that I would do it. I've proved people wrong time and time again throughout my career. I was told I might never make my debut and I made my debut. I was told I would never make a living at wrestling and I've started making a living. I was told I would never be in Ring of Honor, I was told I'd never be Ring of Honor World Champion and I was Ring of Honor World Champion. I was told I'd never be in Japan and now I'm in Japan so it is just one of those things where people tell me that I couldn't do it fuelled it more and I knew that I would make it and maybe I didn't know that I would make such an impact but I felt deep down I felt that if I worked hard and believed in myself it would be kind of hard to say I can't believe it and in the same vein I can't believe it as well so it's weird to say that but it is like a catch 22.”
