THE NEWS
Here is what happened this past two weeks. WrestleMania 33 saw several monumental moments, The Undertaker would wrestle his final match against Roman Reigns in the Main Event of WrestleMania, and leave his signature gear in the ring then break character to kiss his wife Michelle at ringside, and finally in Undertaker's way, say goodbye to the fans. The next would see the returns of Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross to commentary for separate matches, Later its revealed that Ross has signed a new deal with WWE for more appearances. Then there was The Hardy's [Who 24 hours prior lost the ROH World Tag team titles to The Young Bucks at Supercard of Honor] return to WWE and win RAW Tag Team gold in the original 3 team ladder match when New Day added them in.
The next is John Cena proposing to Nikki Bella in the middle of the ring after their tag match with Miz and Maryse, and finally Brock Lesnar would defeat Goldberg for the Universal Title. Jeff Hardy will be able to wrestle in the UK again after serving his travel ban. March 29 would commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan match of WrestleMania 3, which saw an iconic moment being born, The slam heard around the world!. WWE have finally announced that the Women's tournament is coming to the WWE Network. Hardcore Vet Terry Funk was forced to pull out of his WrestleCon 2017 appearance due to health reasons, which meant Funk was unable to travel to Orlando, Florida for the event. In a lighter note with all the sad Undertaker news, on the 27/03 episode of WWE RAW, The Undertaker, while entering the ring in the dark accidentally kicked a member of the production team in the face.
Chris Jericho has revealed that his current WWE run is "winding down", but he said that he will be coming back when the time comes. Simon Gotch has left WWE, while Sonjay Dutt has returned to Impact Wrestling despite offers from WWE and ROH. Aron Rex would leave Impact Wrestling while Magnus and Matt Morgan return. Angel Rose has signed with Impact, and Gail Kim teased a return to the company also. Shelton Benjamin has been cleared to compete again, while Drew Galloway returns to WWE under the NXT banner. ROH signed Jonathon Gresham to a full-time contract and Taeler Hendrix has left ROH. Noam Dar has been injured. Undertaker has retired at WrestleMania 33, and Colby Corino and Rude Boy Riley have been arrested, Riley for Child porn allegations and Corino for shoplifting. WWE Backlash shall be a SmackDown exclusive PPV event this year, and NXT returns to PPV as HHH announces NXT Takeover: Chicago. Impact star DJ Z would have a near death miss when he fractured his colon and suffered interna bleeding after he botched 450 Splash at a Crash Lucha event, DJ would undergo a successful operation. Jeff Jarrett revealed that Impact and Global Force Wrestling are slowly becoming one promotion "day by day".
Brock Lesnar won't be defending his newly won title at the next PPV Payback. Three time Impact Knockouts Champion Brooke Adams got engaged to her boyfriend Weston Wayne, of whom she had a child with last September. Despite not being used at the last set of taping's, Brooke remains signed to Impact. The Big Show would not enjoy his final WrestleMania, as he had his moment with Braun Strowman rushed by several talents who went and eliminated Show and Braun quicker than he was expecting. Show would blow off some steam at the stars backstage. And finally Alberto El patron had some fun on Periscope this past week, when he during a livestream session, ran down his former employer WWE and its head honcho Triple H in particular. El patron would reveal that he and his fiance Paige will be getting Wed in June, along with mocking Triple H in some very explicit words that got personal with the man with three H's. Alberto was of course drunk, but he admitted that it's only when the good stuff comes. Then the day after, Alberto would do another Periscope session, and confirm that he meant all the things he said, this time not drunk!
