In WWE; Austin Aries is taking time off from WWE for a rest up and to deal with some "nagging injuries". Aries' last match against Neville at Extreme Rules saw Aries wearing kinesio tape, Which helps the wrestlers. | British sensation Mark Andrews suffered an injury to the neck after taking a bad clothesline from the Authors of Pain on the June 11 Download Festival event in the UK. The match was an eight man tag match which pitted Andrews, Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black and Roderick Strong against Pete Dunne, Bobby Roode and The Authors of Pain. WWE posted an update stating that the CT scan of Mandrews came back negative, with just bruising evident. | John Cena will return to WWE as a "free agent" on July 4. The new storyline will allow him to be able to appear on both RAW and SmackDown. Cena during an interview this month, revealed that he believes that the torch has been passed on. Cena said; "I think it's been passed without me, There's a lot of folks who are currently doing a lot of damage on the roster. The show is thriving in my absence. I think it's extremely competitive. I did win the 16th Championship at the Rumble but I was unfortunate in my first defence at Elimination Chamber and before that I hadn't really been in the Championship picture for a while. I think the company is moving on quite well. I don't know if there needs to be a formal anointment but they're really doing well without me." | Braun Strowman, Zack Ryder, Rusev, Who would return to compete at a SmackDown Live event on June 24 to loud cheers, and Dash Wilder are all cleared to return to in-ring action on WWE TV. | Crazzy Steve appeared at the WWE performance center this month. | Seth Rollins will be the Face of the Case! The Brother on the Cover! As Seth will be gracing the cover of WWE's 2K18 Video Game. Rollins made the announcement on the ESPN SportsCenter on June 19, 2017. | Kevin Owens was not severely injured at Money in the Bank despite an apparent leg injury. | Thea Trinidad, who made a name for herself in Impact fka TNA as Rosita in the Mexican America Faction, has signed with the WWE, and will be starting in the WWE Performance Centre. | WWE Officials are preparing plans for a Kurt Angle vs. Triple H in the "near future". No details revealed as of yet as to when it will happen. | Shelton Benjamin is once again in talks with WWE about a possible return. Benjamin was set to return last year, even a far as teasers being aired on SmackDown ahead of his arrival, However, He unknowingly had an injury which led to him not returning due to surgery. | Mauro Ranallo has come to a new agreement with WWE, which will see the former SmackDown lead commentator join the NXT brand as lead commentator. Ranallo left in controversy earlier this year, and this month an announcement was made that Mauro Ranallo had signed with Bellator MMA. | WWE will be making new India specific content that will consist of a new weekly show entitled 'WWE Sunday Dhamaal'. It will feature the best of the weeks RAW and SmackDown matches and content. | Kimber Lee will now be known in the WWE Universe as Abbey Laith. Also Laith will be included in the special Mae Young Classic tournament coming up this summer. | Former Progress Wrestling Star Axel Dieter Jr. worked a WWE live event in Cocoa, Florida, under his real name Marcel Barthel. He would lose to Roderick Strong. | Io Shirai has been dealing with a neck injury, which was found in WWE medical tests. The superstar from the East will still be coming to WWE, but it will be "quite a while" according to reports from Dave Meltzer. Note: Injury's to the Neck take longer to return from due to the serious nature of what can be affected if the damage isn't healed correctly, IE limb problems, trapped nerves etc. | Fightful.com reports that Vince McMahon is interested in bringing back the "Hulkster" to WWE, and even getting in touch with Hogan about a return. | WWE Hall of Famer's Jim Ross and Lita will be calling the Mae Young Classic Women's wrestling tournament on the WWE Network starting on August 28. | Thea Trinidad has officially signed a WWE contract, to which The Rock congratulated her on doing since he worked closely with her over the years. | WWE are dusting off the old Punjabi Prison cages in preparation for the WWE Battleground PPV event which will see current champion Jinder Mahal defend his WWE title against Randy Orton in the main event of the PPV. This will be only the third time ever that the Prison match has taken place, the first time with Undertaker vs Big Show and the second time with The Great Khali vs Batista. | WWE's plan of bringing in LaVar Ball, Lonzo Ball, and LaMelo Ball didn't go to plan on June 26 episode of WWE RAW, when LaMelo used the word Nigger twice when Dean Ambrose made a surprise interruption during the segment of Miz TV. WWE later sent out a statement on the "racial slur"; "The inappropriate language used by a guest during the 'Miz TV' segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE's values." | The Pre-Order bonus for the WWE 2K18 video game will be none other than the returning Kurt Angle! Oh It's True! and Damn Real! | WWE's Tough Enough season 3 winner Matt Cappotelli is going in for a second brain operation to remove what can be removed of the brain tumour that ha returned ten years after he had it removed, This time sadly the tumour is more aggressive, and a portion of it is inoperable. We Wish Mr Cappotelli all the best!. | Former Impact star Gunner (Chad Lail) made his WWE NXT debut at a live event on June 29 in St. Petersburg, FL.

In Impact Wrestling; Anthem S&E, The parent company of Impact Wrestling and the Fight Network, has come to an agreement with Jeff and Karen Jarrett to acquire Global Force Wrestling and merge the two into one company. The name TNA and Impact Wrestling will be changed to Global Force Wrestling, due to several reasons including the money issues of the past and the double entendre meaning of TNA, the company going forward will be GFW, and the weekly show Impact will retain its name, Impact. Anthem's Ed Nordholm told The Tennessean that the company is developing an on-demand streaming service to tap into the "valuable tape library" they have. Nordholm also said the name TNA was turnoff for some potential marketing partners and the name was tainted because of negative media coverage. As for Jarrett, In this deal Jeff Jarrett has now joined Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions and is now a member of AWE's board of managers. Jarrett is also an equity owner and a Chief Creative Officer. Slammiversary is seen by all as the event where monumental changes will be made, taking Impact Wrestling into the future. | August 5 shall be the historic date that restarts Impact Wrestling as a touring company again, The first Impact Live event since new management and since 2014 will be a big step into healing the company since the Hogan and Bischoff days, which lost a lot of money. | Sony Six, the home for Impact Wrestling content in India, has reportedly told Impact that WWE's only interest in providing for the Indian Market is due to Impact tapping into the huge market first. The Wrestling Observer reports that even in the UK, when ITV's World of Sport appeared to be all go, WWE were ready to fight hard to take over, yet when the project hit a temporary roadblock, WWE backed off with its plan for UK events that were planned. | Chris Adonis was injured during the first set of Impact tapings in Mumbai, India. Adonis went to a local Hospital for an MRI scan. The injury was bad enough for him to miss the second set of tapings. | Jessie Godderz has left the company after a six year stint which saw him win the World Tag Team Belts twice with partner Robbie E in the team The Bro-Mans. He also would get some big wins over the year against the likes of The Wolves, Bram and Robbie E. | Gail Kim continues to defend Impact Wrestling and its trailblazing Knockouts division, with a comment on WWE finally doing a women's ladder match; "I've been a part of at least 4 ladder matches in some way at Impact. Wwe doesn't acknowledge other co.'s but hey at least it's happening." Gail said on Twitter. | Long-time Impact officials Al Snow and Pat Kenney, along with Gregory Shane Helms have all departed from Impact this month. Snow had been with Impact since 2008, and would have some memorable moments, such as his return to join the Extreme Originals Team 3D and Dreamer in the Manhattan Center in 2014. Pat Kenney, fka Simon Diamond, had been with Impact the longest, having started back in 2003. Gregory Helms would sign in 2015 as a producer, and would have an onsceen role for his entire tenure. This decision to release the three was reportedly a financial one, as Impact had seven producers at the time. | Thomas Latimer, aka Impact's Bram was seriously hurt during a match in Rome on June 24. It was reported by friend Magnus, who along with Eddie Edwards reported later that Bram is "recovering nicely". The injury came during an extreme rules match with hardcore icon Jimmy Havoc. Bram himself said that while he is in no danger, the injury did require surgery. | SLAMM15 News; Slammiversary will be called by MLB and NHL announcer Robert Flores, and a returning Don West for one night only! This is due to both Jeremy Borash and Josh Mathews being involved in a match on the night. Dixie Carter, former President of Impact and minority shareholder, commented on the upcoming 15th anniversary of Impact Wrestling; "So proud of this company and all the men and women who helped build it. #Here'sTo15More." Plus, Could the President be backing Impact World Champion Bobby Lashley in his corner at Slammiversary XV? Lashley has asked the President Donald Trump to come to Orlando on July 2 and stand in his corner! Jeff Jarrett's 'Most Powerful, Influential Resident Of Orlando' is none other than the Mayor of Orlando! He will be attending the tapings of Impact after Slammiversary, and will make an announcement declaring in honor of the 15-year anniversary of Impact! Wrestling, That July 5, 2017 be Impact Wrestling Day in Orlando! The Mayor will also be a special ring announcer for two matches. The newest and latest match added to Slammiversary 15 is an interpromotional four way tag match for the Impact & GFW World Tag Team Titles, which will pit the champions LAX (Santana & Ortiz) against Pro Wrestling NOAH's Naomichi Marufuji and Taiji Ishimuri, AAA and Lucha Underground's El Hijo del Fantasma and Drago, and Garza Jr. and Laredo Kid representing Konnan's The Crash promotion. This is a big deal, as Lucha Underground stars were said to not be working for Impact in the AAA-Impact working relationship. Alberto El Patron has taken another shot at his former employer claiming that his upcoming Slammiversary XV contest against Bobby Lashley will be better than Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar match at Great Balls of Fire PPV: "Our match is going to be a thousand times better. I have deep respect for Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe, and I know they'll give the fans an amazing match, but they'll be limited by the politics in that company. That company won't let one of them give one-hundred percent to the audience, they're going to hold them back. Impact Wrestling says, 'Here is the ring, go do your thing.'" | Davey Richards, Since returning to Impact has been on a big push, which may have changed his plans on retiring this year. Richards, who balances several jobs, said the following on retirement; "I know that I'm getting further along in my school and in my career outside of wrestling, to where I won't be able to wrestle as much anymore, and soon I won't be able to wrestle at all because of time constraints, and on top of that being a father. I feel good, I feel healthy, and as long as I can keep producing the quality of matches that I hold myself to, which is a very high standard, and as long as I'm having fun and the fans want to see me, I'll keep it up, but I don't see myself wrestling for another five years by any means. Plus, I don't want to be that guy who, when people come to see me, people talk and sit in the crowd and go, "well, you know he used to be really good", I want to go out on top, I think the fans deserve that. So we'll see what happens, maybe not the end of this year, but I might have a couple left. We'll see what happens." | Scott Steiner revealed during a conference call that he was looking forward to returning to Impact once Jeff Jarrett returned, and still has no desire to return to WWE or enter its hall of fame unless he gets a good price. | Konnan has revealed that ACH and Sammy Guevara are having their Impact tryouts soon.

In Other News; Discovery Communications new channel in India called DSPORT, is the new home of Ring of Honor broadcasting in India. The channel was launched earlier this year. | The brothers Jose & Felipe Alvarado, better known as Maximo Sexy and La Mascara in Mexico, were fired from CMLL last month due to a severe incident that involved the damage of Ultimo Guerrero's car, which stemmed from the decision to pass the position of the head of the company to Guerrero instead of a member of the Alvarado Family, of whom the Father held the position prior. Ultimo would speak badly of Jesus Alvarado, who passed away on April 28, and the morning after, the incident would occur. Gutierrez (Guerrero) said he was pressing charges. Pyscho Clown, Who was one of the family members during the frightening incident, Puts AAA in a bad position as Pyscho is in the main event of AAA's biggest event of the year against Dr Wagner in a Mask vs. Mask match at TripleMania. | Mexican Pro Wrestling giant AAA aired on UK TV for the first time on the free-to-air sports channel Front Runner. This is the first time that AAA has ever shown its programming in the UK. Ross Ravago, from Front Runner said; "Wrestling has a long heritage both here in the UK and in Mexico and we are delighted to be able to gain the rights to broadcast this world renowned weekly episodic show, every Wednesday night from 9.30pm." | 5 Star Wrestling in the UK has rescheduled the biggest ever Pro Wrestling tournament of 128 competitors to February of next year. This has caused dozens of stars to have to find more work in the dates agreed to work the tournament. A press release statement mentions that the rescheduling will make improvements to the shows going forward. | On June 8, Matt and Reby Hardy welcomed their second son Wolfgang Xander Hardy. | The Daily Mail [UK Newsletter] has reported that Bray Wyatt has had an affair with WWE ring announcer JoJo Offerman. Bray's wife Samantha Rotunda filed for a divorce, While Bray has filed a counter-petition for divorce to request an injunction that would force his wife to keep quiet about the situation. Wyatt claims Samantha made "defamatory statements about the husband to several people in the community in an effort to ruin his reputation." Samantha responded and said Wyatt's allegations are an "attempt to pull the wool over the publics eyes when his antics and affairs become more public." | The ROH contracts of Warbeard Hanson and Raymond Rowe aka War Machine have expired according to the Wrestling Observer, However, They are still working with New Japan Pro Wrestling. | Andrea will now be known a Sage Miller in WWE, Miller will be in the Mae Young Classic. Other name changes include Bianca Blair becoming Bianca BelAir, Taynara Melo becoming Taynara Conti and Daria Berenato now becoming Sonya Deville. | Penta El 0M was robbed at gunpoint in Mexico by three men each with guns on the Morning of June 29 while taking an Uber to the airport ahead of a wrestling event. Penta, while not being harmed, had his Mask, gear, travel paperwork, his Phone, keys and wallet stolen. Mexico City refused to let Penta travel without his documents therefore he was forced to miss the DEFY Wrestling event that night.The Body is going to the Motherland! Legend Jesse Ventura will be bringing his controversial TV program to Russia to aired on a network funded by the Russian Government, after his program can't find a network in the US. Reports even suggest that Russian President Vladimir Putin has personally assured Ventura that the show that will air on RT will not be censored. Ventura said; "I can't get a job in the U.S. No one will touch me, My United States union throws me in the dirt and who comes to the rescue? Russia." | John Hennigan, aka Johnny Mundo and Taya Valkyrie got engaged this month. The pair both worked together onscreen in Lucha Underground. | Nick Jackson (Young Bucks) had his backpack containing $2000 and passports stolen while in Japan. He also lost in the bag his prescription glasses, electronics and his two passports. He left it by accident at a restaurant during the journey from Tokyo to Osaka, but by the time he returned to get it, it had been stolen. Jackson was given a temporary passport by the American embassy that allowed him to get back to the US. | UK Indie stars Trent Seven and Wolfgang, along with UK Strongman Eddie Hall all have cameo roles in the new Transformers: Last Knight film. | PJ Black was badly injured during a base jumping activity on 15/06. PJ would jump off of a 320ft building, and due to a parachute problem, and his body positioning, Black would suffer severe injuries that include a broken leg, a broken hand and a severed finger! He said he was lucky to be alive. This is the second accident that Black has had doing the base jumping in the space of a few months, when he broke both his ankles last October. Black is expected to be out for up to 12 months, depending on recovery. | Al Snow has revealed the key to making wrestling fun again, Snow said on Twitter; "To wrestling fans: U enjoyed wrestling when you knew nothing about it,Go back to that & it will be fun again. Stop being a pseudo expert." | The real life hatred between Jim Cornette and Vince Russo, which has spanned for over a decade has just reached the court rooms, with Russo filing an order of protection [Restraining order] against Jim Cornette, literally days after Vince Russo on his podcast issued an "apology" to Jim, which wasn't a real apology, as to a mocking of Jim's "mistakes". Eric Bischoff, who also has a disliking of Russo, Also was given an "apology" from Vince not long after Jim's was released. The restraining order was filed on June 16 by Russo, claiming that Cornette had been stalking him. Bruce Prichard and Eric Bischoff both replied to a picture that Jim Cornette uploaded on Twitter of the restraining order filed against him; Prichard said; "Absolutely. Positively. Spineless. Hilarious. Unbelievable. And that is all I have to say." While Bischoff replied; "I. Rest. My. Case." Cornette had also recently challenged Vince to a real fight; "I'm making you a legitimate offer. I swear on my mother's grave if you give me a date, a time and an address. I will meet you there and I will bring five grand in cash as long as the rules are no cops, no guns and no knives. And what happens, happens. Send me the date, the time and the place or shut the f--- up." | Billy Corgan faced some legal issues with the trademarking of the NWA, But reports say that its all done and dusted, and all the NWA assets have been officially handed over to Billy Corgan's Lighting One Inc.
