THE THROUGH THE ROPES NEWSLETTER DOES NOT SPOIL STORYLINES, DEBUTS, RETURNS, SHOWS AND MATCHES THAT ARE TAPED IN ADVANCE.

This issue of the through the ropes newsletter is dedicated to the life and the memory of the late smith hart, who sadly passed away earlY LAST month.

The Month's News

On July 9, Alberto El Patron, while with his partner Paige, was detained by Police officers at the Orlando International Airport on suspicion of domestic battery. While countless different stories flooded the Internet, On July 21, Orlando PD revealed to Pro Wrestling Sheet that due to the detectives investigation determining that Paige is the one who should be charged for domestic violence, they no longer view El Patron as a suspect. Alberto as of this writing remains indefinitely suspended by GFW, who are performing their own investigation. Then on July 27, Patron's attorney, Keith McMahon, Released the police case report for the altercation between Patron and Paige as mentioned, and McMahon said; "This last month was marked false reports by 'untrained reporters' not doing their due diligence," McMahon wrote. "Now the official report stating what actually happened. I would like to thank everyone that supported my clients never read into false reports posted on the Internet by reporters trying to earn a buck by defaming and hurting my clients and their families, including Alberto's 3 innocent children. As you can see there was no alcohol or drugs and no arrests. NO physical harm to one another, just an argument between a couple that others exploited. Thank you to everyone who believed in them. God bless you all." For the respect of Paige and Alberto, we will not mention anymore. Alberto however will be standing down as the president of the Combate Americas MMA promotion to put all of his focus into his pro wrestling career. Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren revealed that Alberto's "first love is wrestling." "he's kind of asked me if he can step away and with Saraya [Paige], focus on wrestling." "We will remain as friends and he will always be at Combate events."

Austin Aries was released from WWE earlier this month in what was seen as a surprise to the fans as Aries had only really began his main roster tenure. Aries, was reported by the Wrestling Observer as being "delighted" that his release came, as he was unhappy with how he was being booked as just a cruiserweight, and his win loss ratio that saw him lose almost all of his matches of recent times. The Observer also reports that Aries had alot of backstage problems with some of the talent and the writing team. Aries has a 90 day no compete clause to fulfil, and then he is free to sign where ever he pleases.

Sonnen and Fees originally did the commentary for the Amped shows way back when the shows were originally taped, but due to Jarrett not finding a home for the shows to be aired, The commentary became outdated.

Al Snow has launched a new clothing brand specifically for fans and the wrestlers. Snow would say that its not his company, but our company. On the topic of new lines, WWE have launched a new Barbie doll like line of WWE women superstars.

John Cena believes that his in-ring days are numbered, hence his desire to be a free agent in WWE. Cena believes that he may not be able to be a brand only star due to his other projects, therefore as a free agent he can work which ever shows he can make room for. The decision was Cena's, and WWE granted that for him. "I don't know if I'll be available for Smackdown specific only or Raw specific only, and I also know that my days are numbered," Cena said during an interview with Complex. "I don't know how many years I have left. So in the time I have left, I'm gonna do what I can to dedicate to this company I just want to be able to do it the most time that I possibly can." However, John Cena will be starring in the upcoming "Bumblebee" Transformers spinoff movie that's set in 1987 and focuses on the yellow & black Bumblebee. This is the first spinoff in what Paramount hopes will be a Transformers Cinematic Universe, which would include prequels and other offshoots.

On July 17, after the WWE RAW show in Nashville, several WWE stars met up at a bar with some of GFW's stars, and an altercation took place with Karen Jarrett and Braun Strowman. Strowman was asked by Karen for an autograph for her son, whose favourite star was Braun, But Braun reportedly was really rude to her, obviously unaware of who she was, until Karen would mention that her son is also the son of RAW GM Kurt Angle, which would change the mood dramatically. Karen would then get upset with Braun and it became quite a scene. Then later Braun began begging on his knees infront of everyone in attempt to stop Karen from telling Kurt or anyone. Karen then blasted him for only being nice because of who her son's father was, and that he shouldn't have acted like that to a mother who wanted a signature for her child. Braun apologised profusely.

After losing her AAA Reina de Reinas Championship to Sexy Star in Star's first match back in AAA on July 16 AAA TV tapings, Taya Valkerie was so angry with the decision that she would leave the company. Taya would vent her anger on social media at being stabbed in the back again by the company, then follow up with a "goodbye" post. Vampiro would then criticise her actions in a full penned post, Which in turn would invoke anger from Taya's Fiance Johnny Mundo, who would reveal that the majority of the Lucha Underground locker-room think of him as a a two faced so and so, among other things. Taya also made a social media post hoping to join GFW's Knockouts division.

Jerry Lawler recently revealed that Jeff Jarrett, once word got out that Jerry's WWE workload was being lessened earlier this year, spoke about Lawler possibly coming to commentate for GFW programming. Lawler said that the plan was for Him and Jim Ross to re-unite on the commentary team for the shows.

Bruce Prichard revealed that both WWE in 1996, and WCW in 2000 played to get OJ Simpson to come and appear on their respective shows. WWF, Literally months after the verdict on the OJ Simpson Murder trial, wanted OJ to fight Rowdy Roddy Piper at WrestleMania 12 in the Hollywood backlot brawl, which would ultimately feature Goldust instead, due to major negative reactions on the plans. Vince Russo would in 2000 try to get WCW officials to buy an idea of handing out a 3 million dollar reward to finding the "real killer of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, which would feature OJ on PPV taking a lie detector test, then later keeping the money for himself. This mad idea was a Russo plan to get the ratings back on track, as they plummeted to record lows week after week until the ultimate demise of the company in 2001.
