American Wrestling legend and super-heavyweight phenomenon Vader, real name Leon White, passed away at the age of 63 on Monday 18th June. The legendary big man of the squared circle, who famously competed in WCW, WWF and Japan, suffered from pneumonia a month prior to his death, which ultimately he didn't overcome. Vader's son, Jesse, notified the world of his passing on Twitter, stating that his Father "fought extremely hard and clinically was making progress", but unfortunately on Monday night "his heart had enough and it was his time." We send our love and condolences to the family, friends and the millions of fans of the mastodon known simply, as Vader. RIP 1955 - 2018. ■ Mexican Wrestling legend Alfredo Pasillas, best known as CMLL's Arkangel, passed away at the age of 51 from a heart attack on Wednesday 13th June. RIP 1966 - 2018. ■ WWE has stopped ROH Wrestling from running events at Madison Square Garden, and legal teams are to be brought in. PW Insider reported Joe Koff [Owner of ROH], was in talks with officials at the Garden about running ROH events there in 2019, but after communications from WWE, MSG backed out of the talks. Koff didn't go into more detail, But legal teams will be brought in to resolve the matter. Earlier reports released said that MSG officials were unhappy with WWE not using their venue for some of their NYC events. AAA Wrestling in Mexico are going to run a show at the Garden in September. This isn't the first time WWE has tried to squash competition by forcing the Garden to decline offers from other wrestling promotions, as WCW in the 90's were also refused access to run events at the Garden. WWE will be running a show at the arena on July 7 which will see the legendary Undertaker compete. ■ Out of action. Sami Zayn has revealed that both of his shoulders are badly injured and require immediate surgery to repair them. The Zayniac is dealing with torn Rotator Cuffs in both shoulders. While no recovery and rehab time is currently known, Zayn hopes to be "in the mix" for WrestleMania which is 8 to 9 months away. Zayn's left shoulder was originally torn during his Raw debut against John Cena, which he says was fine until he recently tore his right shoulder in a live event match against Jinder Mahal, in-which the original injury started playing him up again. Both injuries ironically happened in Montreal. ■ Wrestling legend and current Impact Wrestling and AroLucha star Konnan will be making his return to in-ring competition after over 5 years in retirement. Konnan, who recently underwent hip replacement surgery is set to make his ring return in Court Bauer's MLW promotion at their July 19th show Battle Riot at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York City, and feature in the 40 man Battle Riot match. Konnan will also become a weekly co-host of MLW Radio: The Flagship. Also planned for the July 19 MLW show in NYC, is the next generation Hart Foundation, as Teddy Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr and Brian Pillman Jr compete in a six man tag team match. And then of course the Battle Riot match, that will feature Johnny Impact, Kevin Sullivan, ACH, Davey Boy Smith Jr, Teddy Hart, Rich Swann, Pentagon Jr, Jimmy Yuta, Jake Hager, Swoggle, Lance Anoa’i, Pierre Carl Ouellet, Konnan, Plus many many more. ■ At one point, he was considered to be the next big thing by Vince McMahon, But not anymore, as Big Cass has been released from WWE. Cass is said to have considerable friction with the company ultimately leading to his demise. ■ Following their super-show in Saudi Arabia, WWE is heading to Australia's Melbourne Cricket ground in partnership with promotion company TEG Danity to bring a special event titled Super Show-Down similar to the Greatest Royal Rumble event. The event will take place later this year, and will feature the "final showdown" between Triple H and The Undertaker. ■ AJ Styles is the face on the case of the upcoming WWE 2K19 video game, while newcomer Ronda Rousey features as the pre-order bonus. The game will be released on October 9 for PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC. ■ Impact Wrestling has a new podcast called Total Nonstop Recall, which will feature special guests revisiting the past in Impact Wrestling/TNA. The first episode will feature the one and only Scott D'Amore. ■ WWE's Paige was victim of a verbal and physical assault from a fan after the Money in the Bank PPV. The English Superstar was slapped by a male fan, then was yelled cruel jibes at. Paige still had the good grace to pose for selfies with fans after the incident, which many stars before her have not done, and just left. That's respect. ■ End of an Era. The Judge in the big lawsuit against CM Punk and Colt Cabana by WWE's doctor Chris Amann has ruled in favour of Punk and Cabana, ending a long and painful saga for the long reigning wrestling champion and the indie favourite Cabana, who will continue his much loved podcast 'Art of Wrestling'. When the verdict was announced, Punk [real name Phil Brooks] and his wife April [fka AJ Lee] broke down in tears, which Amann and Cabana showed little emotion. Later that same week, CM Punk would return to UFC for its 225 event, but would lose to opponent Mike Jackson via unanimous decision. Then it would be revealed later that during the courtcase, that Chris Amann was having a relationship with employee Jillian Hall while She was under contract with the company. Amann was dating Hall while he was treating her, which is a violation of the code of ethics. ■ Pivotshare is to launch a brand new indie pro-wrestling library called Powerslam, which will contain 100 pro wrestling channels in over 15 countries across the globe. Some of the named companies include Progress, RevPro, PW Eve, ICW, White Wolf Wrestling in Spain, Smash Wrestling, and all the other favourites including CZW, MCW RAGE, WXW in Germany and Defy Wrestling. The Powerslam Wrestling Network will be available on iOS, Apple TV, Android, and Roku devices, as well as Amazon Prime Channels. ■ Eli Drake has signed a new deal with Impact Wrestling. It was joyfully announced on Twitter by Impact that Drake had signed a long term deal with the company, amid fears that he may depart in search for other options. ■ Impact Wrestling once again has broke the news with more historic partnerships, one being with Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea this October, and the other with Australian Wrestling promotion World Series Wrestling, who will feature on the Global Wrestling Network. ■ ECW star Rockin' Rebel, 52, and his wife were found dead at their home in Chester County, Pennsylvania on June 1. Reports says that the husband and wife were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide. ■ Shane 'Hurricane' Helms made his ROH debut at the ROH State Of The Art event in San Antonio, Texas. ■ Austin Aries broke the news following winning back the World Championship from Pentagon Jr at Under Pressure, That he has unified the Impact Grand Championship with the World Championship, making it the Undisputed World Championship title. Aries won the Grand title from Josh Mathews, who had Matt Sydal represent him in the match earlier this year in a title vs. title match, and hasn't been defended since. The title was created by Billy Corgan during his time in Impact, using similar rules as in MMA matches with the judges system. The belt has been carried by the likes of Aron Rex, Drew Galloway, EC3 and Moose during its time. Aries will also be competing at ROH's Best in the World PPV in a match against Kenny King.
Oney Lorcan, during his NXT TakeOver: Chicago II match suffered a broken Orbital bone in his eye which will require surgery. The match saw Lorcan, with partner Danny Burch compete against Undisputed Era's Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong for the NXT Tag Team belts in a losing effort. ■ WWE has signed new five year media rights deals with both Fox and USA Network to continue aring Raw and SmackDown respectively. ■ Rich Swann has been offered a contract by Impact Wrestling to become a member of the Impact roster. Swann, during an Impact media call, revealed that he has been offered a contract and both he and the company are "looking to do business together and see where the future takes us." Swann has since been announced for Slammiversary in a huge four way bout including the returning Johnny Impact, NJPW's Bone Soldier [Taiji Ishimori], and Rey Fenix. ■ Progress World Champion Travis Banks will defend his title against challenger Walter at Chapter 74: Midweek Matters on July 25th, at the Electric Ballroom in London, England. ■ On Monday 25th July, during a pre-show security check before a WWE live event, Shinsuke Nakamura was bitten by a police dog, meaning that he was unable to compete at the events he was scheduled for. Nakamura did appear at WWE's live event in Tokyo, Japan, where after a promo he was attacked by Samoa Joe. ■ WWE has released Zeda from her NXT contract. ■ UK star Jinny has departed from RevPro Wrestling as she signs WWE UK deal that will see her work only for selected UK promotions. ■ Uriel Ealy of NXT's Ealy Brothers has been released from WWE. Uriel suffered a head injury in January of this year during a tag match with his Brother against the Authors of Pain in NXT, and has been out of action since. Uriel has been suffering from 24 hour migraines, which could mean he career could be on hold for some time. ■ Indie superstar Keith Lee, WOH pioneer Deonna Purrazzo, Japanese sensation Io Shiai, NCAA wrestler Jacob Kasper, Former NFL player Dorin Dickerson, US gymnast Stacy Ervin Jr and Rugby players Daniel Vidot and Luke Menzies have all been signed by WWE to developmental contracts. ■ WWE have announced their new brand to join Raw, Smackdown and NXT, along with announcing the return of the Mae Young Classic tournament. The new brand will feature British talents and will be called NXT UK. The brand will see new championship belts added including the UK Tag Team titles, and the UK Women's title, which will feature alongside the current UK Championship. British wrestling legend and multi-time British Lightweight champion Johnny Saint as the General Manager. Regarding the stars that will be working the brand, UK star Jinny has departed from RevPro Wrestling as she signs WWE UK deal that will see her work the WWE UK shows and only for selected UK promotions. Also signed are Mark Coffey, Wild Boar, Charlie Morgan and Nina Samuels. WWE apparently offered English Promotion RevPro Wrestling a similar deal to that of Progress and ICW have, in which talents signed to a WWE UK deal are allowed to continue working for those promotions, But RevPro turned down the offer as they are currently in a deal with NJPW and ROH. The UK deals that WWE have been offering are said to be simply just to prevent the World of Sport Promotion from using the stars on their new ten part weekly series. ■ Legend Brutus Beefcake successfully underwent a knee replacement surgery last month. Fellow legend Hulk Hogan wished him well despite the ructions of their friendship this past year. ■ Sin Cara is out of action as he is dealing with a shoulder injury. ■ Impact Wrestling has hired popular wrestling interviewer and YouTube star Alica Atout as their new backstage interviewer. Atout, 23, has previously worked with Smash Wrestling, and is the creator of the AMBY website that features wrestling and music interviews. Despite the rumours and false reports, current backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell is still with the company. Mitchell worked a ring announcer at the Lucha vs. Impact event at WrestleCon. ■ Bianca Carelli made her wrestling debut in June in a tag team bout. Bianca is the daughter of Santino Marella. ■ A list of some of WWE's talents' contracts have been leaked. Here are the stars and how long their current deals last. Brock Lesnar's ends August 2018; Mauro Ranallo's ends June 2019; Daniel Bryan's ends September 1st, 2018; Kevin Owens ends April 2023; Paige's ends 2019; Big Show's ends Spring 2021; Mandy Rose's ends Late 2020; The Miz's ends 2022; Stephanie McMahon's as on screen talent ends October 7th, 2019; and Mojo Rawley's ends 2020. ■ Adam Cole made history by defending his NXT North American Championship at Evolve Wrestling's 107 event on June 24 against Austrian challenger Walter. ■ Brock Lesnar has officially broken the long standing record of 434 days as WWE Champion set by CM Punk, but the reign won't be remembered fondly for its countless great matches as the "Beast Incarnate" barely managed to break the 10 title defences in all that time, and some of those were at live events. Punk, during his memorable reign clocked in an impressive 141 title defences as champion. An amusing tit-bit was made by a fan on Reddit, who worked out that at the current rate of title defences made by Lesnar, it would take him around 16 years and 9 months to match the amount of title defences that Punk worked. ■ June 19 (6/19) has been officially declared by the San Diego City Council to be Rey Mysterio Day. A ceremony was held in the hometown of the Lucha legend to commemorate the day. Rey used his area code 619 as the name of his iconic finishing move which saw him use the ropes like no other. ■ Women of Wrestling and AXS TV have come to a deal which will see the all-women wrestling shows air on the network in early 2019.

Then Block B will see Juice Robinson, Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano (who will make his 13th tournament appearance), Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Tama Tonga, Tetsuya Naito, Sanada and Zack Sabre Jr completes the grid. The winner of course will receive an opportunity at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at WrestleKingdom.
