In what may be the saddest news item we've reported in a while, WWE Superstar and all-round nice guy Roman Reigns, real name Joe Anoa'i, bravely announced to the world on Monday Night Raw that his Leukaemia has tragically returned after it went into remission in late 2008. Reigns, who broke kayfabe and referred to himself as Joe on Raw, opened up his heart to millions of teary eyed fans and then relinquished the Universal Championship to focus all his time and energy on battling his illness. Reigns is taking his battle with leukaemia public to raise awareness and help raise funds for research to help cure the disease. #ThankYouRoman We wish nothing but the very best to Joe, a real life superhero. Much love and mad respect champ! Get Well Soon Roman. ■ Oh it's true brother! Hulk Hogan is the host of WWE's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. ■ The fans that have booked to see Crown Jewel live will not be seeing John Cena, literally, as he won't be travelling to the event. ■ Dave Meltzer has confirmed many's suspicions, That WWE Evolution that was to be the groundbreaking event in WWE history never had the full backing from WWE, as officials "Never Seen [Evolution] As A Big Show", as "everything they’ve done to ‘promote’ it in recent weeks have proved that." The show as of this writing (25/10) still hasn't sold out, and tickets for the event are being sold by the buyers for as little as £9, where normally they would go for $100 Meltzer says. He also claimed that the WWE only ran this event to make Stephanie look good, and to deflect the heat from Crown Jewel. Meltzer would slam WWE for the way that they're acting as if they’re doing something groundbreaking with the all-women's show, as they've been taking place in all sports for decades in most cases. ■ Just after recovering from an arm injury, Alexa Bliss has once again found herself in the firing line of injuries, as she suffered a concussion at WWE's 20/10 live event in Hartford, Connecticut. ■ What would WrestleMania be without him? John Cena has been confirmed that he will be attending WWE WrestleMania 35 event next year. When asked if he would be attending by young kids on the Today Radio Show, Cena the kidder replied “Where is WrestleMania 35? New York. I’m here right now, aren’t I? Would you like to ‘see me’ at WrestleMania 35? Then you know what, I was thinking about missing it, but because you wanna see me there, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I promise you I’ll be there, I promise. Okay? We’ll shake on it, we’ll make it official.” ■ Impact Wrestling Color Commentator and Co-Executive Vice-President Don Callis, will make his commentary return to NJPW for upcoming events, that includes WrestleKingdom 13. ■ Cody is done with the Bullet Club. At one of NJPW's last major events, Cody was not included in a segment showcasing the new Bullet Club. The former ROH World Champion revealed on Twitter that he is "100% not" in the major faction, saying that it's "Jay's thing now". ■ The cousin of Roman Reigns, , Samu Anoa'i, is also battling cancer. The former Headshrinker has spoken out on his personal battle with stage four liver cancer. Samu is selling Anoa'i Strong T-Shirts, with some of the proceeds going to leukaemia research. . The Nation Wrestling Alliance celebrated it's 70th Anniversary with a star studded show to commemorate the occasion. On commentary, Jim Cornette and Tony Schiavone reunited to call the action. // Legends of the ring such as Road Warrior Animal, who revealed the return of the Jim Crockett Cup tournament for tag teams, managed the War Kings (Jax Dane and Crimson) as their open challenge was accepted by Shannon Moore and Crazzy Steve. Magnum TA, Jeff Jarrett and Dory Funk Jr also were in attendance to witness the special night. // The Vacant NWA National Championship got an old school revamp specially for the event, with the old belt looking very reminiscent of the old school titles of the 60s. Indie sensation Willie Mack would defeat am Shaw to win the title after winning both won their fatal four way matches to qualify to fight for the title respectively. // Jazz retained her World Women's title against Penelope Ford. ■ SmackDown celebrated it's 1000th Show on 16/10 with a bang. Legends of the "Blue Brand" that returned to the show include The Undertaker, Teddy Long, Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, Vickie Guerrero, John Laurinaitis, Edge, who would host a special edition of the Cutting Edge, The reuniting of Evolution with Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair getting together again, Curt Hawkins, Tony Chimel, Booker T, Jerry Lawler, Big Show, Kurt Angle and SmackDown's greatest little man, Rey Mysterio! Big Show would return and help assist The Bar in winning the SmackDown Tag Team titles from The New Day, and in-turn, form a new deadly alliance with the Irishman and the Swiss Cyborg. ■ Bound For Glory Notes: The night before BFG, Newest Impact Hall of Famer, "The Monster" Abyss, would receive a special induction ceremony by longtime manager "Father" James Mitchell in New York. Abyss also made his return at the event itself after Eli Drake won his open challenge match against James Ellsworth in easy fashion. Drake, after the short match, called out someone from New York with a Hall of Fame pedigree, and got answered by Abyss, who then put Drake through a table. // Tommy Dreamer made his return to Impact to save friend Eddie Edwards from a Moose and Killer Kross beatdown, which then turned into a tag team match, that Dreamer and Edwards won. // It became hot news following the 1, 2, 3 after the main event World title match between then champion Austin Aries and Johnny Impact, When Aries would quit selling the result of the match and make his way to the back, but not before giving the middle finger to Don Callis and Ed Nordholm, and then the fans. Impact Producer Petey Williams, who produced the main event bout, revealed that Aries had gone home and that his contract with Impact expired at Bound For Glory. // Also Willie Mack made an impressive debut at BFG which was said to have impressed backstage officials. ■ Looking to the future! Impact Wrestling has announced at it's Bound for Glory event that in January, Impact will hold a new Pay-Per-View entitled HomeComing, which will emanate from the infamous Asylum Arena in Nashville Tennessee, where TNA held all of it's early events. Impact has also announced that it will return to St Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada in March of 2019 for TV Tapings on the 22nd and 23rd of March. ■ The Wrestling world has been divided when it has come to WWE's working relationship with Saudi Arabia. longtime face of the Impact Knockouts Division, Current producer in Impact and former WWE Women's champion, Gail Kim, has revealed that she feels that WWE have "enough money", and to "do the right thing" and cancel the upcoming event. ■ Former NWA United States Heavyweight Champion "Dirty" Dick Slater passed away on October, 18 at the age of 67. Slater debuted in wrestling in 1969, and would compete for near 30 years before hanging up the boots after suffering a career ending back injury in the 1990s. ■ NWA wrestling legend "The Mormon Giant" Don Leo Jonathon, sadly passed away on October 13 at the age of 87 years old. The former World Heavyweight Champion of Langley, British Columbia, Canada, made his debut in the sport in 1949, and retired on March 10th, 1980. RIP Don Heaton aka "The Mormon Giant" Don Leo Jonathon. 1931 - 2018 ■ Charlotte Flair, Ric Flair and WWE are all being sued by Charlotte's ex-husband, over damages caused by what he claims as false allegations in Charlotte and Ric's new book. Riki Paul Johnson, the ex-husband, is seeking $5 million in compensation. ■ WWE's NXT UK brand has now got a third Championship added to it's cabinet, with new Tag Team titles being introduced by British legend Johnny Saint. ■ The Twisted Sisterz, Holidead and Thunder Rosa, are returning to Ring of Honor in November for two events, while Luchasaurus aka Vibora, will be coming to ROH for the Survival of the Fittest tournament. ■ Ever wondered why WWE never returned to the UK with a big PPV event like SummerSlam or bring a WrestleMania across the pond? Well Triple H has called the sellout and monumental SummerSlam 1992 event at London's Wembley Stadium "not a big success", which explains why the company has not returned since with big PPV's. "The time zones are the big kicker - we have to go where the most people can watch. I always hear about Wembley, I always hear it was such a massive success: It was not. From a business standpoint, it was not. That's why we didn't come back and that's why we're still trying to figure it out." The event drew a staggering 80,000 plus fans, and saw one of the best matches of all time as The British Bulldog defeated Bret Hart to retain the Intercontinental Championship. ■ Sami Callihan has re-signed with Impact Wrestling. ■ Former ROH Television Champion Punishment Martinez, has signed with WWE. Martinez came out of a long reign as TV champion, which ended at the hands of ROH newcomer Jeff Cobb.

Until more details emerged, we didn't cover this huge item. But not long ago, WWE officials and Impact Wrestling officials [inc. Ed Nordholm and Scott D'Amore] met up at WWE HQ. Their discussions weren't apart of anything other than just getting together and having a chat, despite rumours of Impact possibly selling their tape library. Impact this year worked with WWE three times this year, leasing out footage from their tape library for WWE Content. D'Amore spoke in an interview about the meeting, speaking of a good relationship with the WWE unlike it's past relationship. D'Amore also revealed recently, that Impact and ROH are also on very good terms. ■ For the first time ever, WWE will hold an Axxess event on the Royal Rumble weekend in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Phoenix Convention Center. ■ WWE are holding their first ever 'World Cup' Tournament that is planned to take place at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. Included in the tournament are John Cena, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and many more. ■ Former Impact Knockouts Champion Laurel Van Ness has signed with WWE, and is working on NXT roster. ■ Evolve Superstar, Tracy Williams, has been announced to appear at Ring of Honor's Survival of the Fittest event on November 4. ■ Chris Jericho ruled out early an appearance or working the WWE's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. ■ While at first it appeared to be a storyline, WWE's Kevin Owens actually had a knee injury, which required him to take time off to repair and heal. Owen's last match was against Bobby Lashley on Raw, where he suffered an after match beatdown. ■ Women of Wrestling aka WOW will be making it's network debut, when it airs on AXS TV on January 18, 2019, on Friday nights. ■ Thankyou Doug! British Wrestling legend Douglas "Doug" Williams has after a 27 year pro wrestling career, retired from the ring at the age of 46. Williams was luckily able to have a retirement match which saw him defend his Progress Atlas Championship against Trent Seven at the SSE Arena Wembley, which saw the legend lose the title to the youngster of WWE UK. A little history note, Doug was apart of TNA Wrestling, where he had many classic bouts and won many titles, including the TNA World Tag Team Championship, The TNA X-Division Championship twice, and the TNA Television Championship too. Williams proudly and successfully represented the style of British Wrestling overseas, and waved the flag of Great Britain with pride too. We'd like to issue a hearty congratulations on a lengthy and highly successful career to one of Britain's true greats of professional wrestling. #ThankYouDoug ■ New Japan's King of Pro Wrestling event saw several surprises, including the Bullet Club OGs recruiting some new blood into the faction, with Jay White. Gedo, Jado and Robbie Eagles all joined the group at the event. Legend and current IWGP Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho made an un-announced appearance at the show, attacking Evil while he made his way to the ring. ■ In a sad note, Tenille Dashwood, who revived her career since leaving WWE has revealed in-front of a Ring of Honor crowd that she will require time away from the sport to recover and repair a shoulder injury that has been with her for the last six months. Tenille also revealed that she is dealing with an autoimmune skin disease. We wish Miss Dashwood nothing but the very best in her recovery. ■ In huge news, British Superstar Neville, who departed from WWE and seemingly disappeared from the pro wrestling scene, re-appeared on October 2nd at Japan's Dragon Gate wrestling show under his previous identity of Pac. Pac is now apart of a big faction in the promotion. ■ SmackDown celebrated it's 1000th show on the October 16. The big anniversary show saw the returns of the show's greatest stars, including "The Animal" Batista who was the face of the brand for many years, Edge, Rey Mysterio, and the supergroup Evolution, featuring Ric Flair, Batista, Triple H and Randy Orton. ■ Ringside Collectables celebrated it's 15th annual RingsideFest event on Saturday, October 27th at Carolines on Broadway in Times Square, NYC. In attendance were WWE Superstars Matt Hardy, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish and Kurt Angle. ■ Expo Lucha returns in 2019 in San Diego, California on August 17 and 18. Over 100 Luchadors will be in attendance. ■ WWE has suffered a big blow in the ratings of both Raw and SmackDown TV shows on 01/10 and 02/10 respectively. The 02/10 episode of SmackDown drew the fourth lowest viewership in it's history, while the 01/10 episode of Raw struggled to stay above the 2 million viewers mark during the third and final quarter of the show, which featured the in-ring fight between Undertaker and Kane against Triple H and Shawn Michaels. ■ In a rare interview, The Undertaker has revealed that Andre The Giant had a plan for him and Undertaker, although, sadly Andre passed away before he ever revealed what that plan was. It was around the time of the early 90's, when Undertaker's gimmick had started, and Andre's in-ring career was at it's end.

JW:- Firstly, Can we start with who your main influences in pro wrestling were? PA:- "Main Influences.... Its really hard to say... I was always into the Performance Aspect, which can be takin' from any form of Entertainment... From Movies, to Music... If we are talking strictly from a Wrestling StandPoint... I always rooted for the UnderDogs. On the other hand, Stone Cold Steve Austin was My Dude, My Guy, & I was about 13 years old when He was on top, so I was heavily influenced by Him. That's pretty much when I knew I was gonna follow this Path, & become a Professional Wrestler"
JW:- How did your beginning in wrestling come along? PA:- "I'm from Windsor, ON. So due to Geographical Convenience, I had access to The Can-Am Wrestling School right in my HomeTown. I used to attend Border City Wrestling Shows as a kid... & as soon as I was 18, I joined up with Scott D'Amore, & began My Training. Full Circle Type Situation... Because now I am The Head Trainer @ The Can-Am Wrestling School"
JW:- So in Canada, when you first stepped into the ring and wrestled your first official match, How did it go and feel? what were your immediate thoughts? PA:- "I was Ready... In my own mind, I was The Best. Lol. Clearly I wasn't... But... I'm a firm believer that you really need to believe in yourself, & believe that you belong on that Stage. All Wrestlers have some kind of an Ego, you just have too if your gonna put yourself on Public Display like we do. You can't be worried about what people will think, whose watching, if you deserve the Spot. Confidence is Key, & I was definitely Confident"
JW:- What would you say is the proudest moment of your career so far? PA:- "Being in the Main Event for an All Japan Pro Wrestling Show in Taiwan against Kaz Hyashi for The Junior Weight Title. Also Wrestling in a Sold-Out Sumo Arena Show was something Special. Also.. Winning the Border City Wrestling Heavyweight Title back in 2012 was def something to remember... Another Full Circle Type Situation."
JW:- What are some of your personal favourite matches of all time? and why those?
PA:- "Guerrero vs Angle at 1 of the Mania's.. For sure.. Bret [Hart] vs [Steve] Austin from WrestleMania 13 is up there.. There's so many.. Its honestly hard to pick. I saw Bryan Cage vs Nakajima Live in Tokyo... And that would be the most recent one I've seen that Id have to say... Bravo!"
