Review: TNA - The Immortal Era (22/03/2016)

Storyline wise, Talent wise, And even management wise to a degree, The 2010 to 2013 Era in TNA Wrestling ( Which is referred to as the Hogan / Bischoff era ) is, and can be argued as TNA's most greatest ever period of its fourteen year lifespan.

Though In hindsight, The money that was squandered was the key negativity to it all, Which has resulted in the company having to make big cuts and financially having to reset the money being spent. And some of the talents booking also was a problem, But apart from those issues, It has to be said that it was the most entertaining wrestling product that TNA has ever produced. The matches that were booked were great, The chemistry of all involved in the storylines were superb, And the quality of the matches were off the charts good with the legendary X-Division, Tag Teams and the knockouts all being heavily featured each and every week, Even as much screen time as the main event scene were getting.

I have to mention this as its so closely related to this topic, As you may know, Fellow Through The Ropes writer, Co-owner, And my best friend, Toby Hollinshead, And I were both tuning in every single week to see Immortal, Sting and Fortune battling it out in the TNA ring. It was truly fantastic, We raved about it for ages and to this day reminisce about those times in TNA history. This just shows how entertaining and the quality of the programming was each and every week.

Some of the key moments that were so special were the Hulk Hogan face turn at Bound for Glory 2011, The first ever Jeff Hardy heel turn, The Insane Icon Sting going to new and unseen levels of his character which we had never seen from him before, And the Bobby Roode heel turn which broke the Fortune group up for good. We have been treated to some great professional wrestling products over the years from different promotions, But as for TNA wrestling, It has to be said that this was arguably the greatest of its existence.
