ReWriting The Streak (09/03/2015)

WRESTLEMANIA 7 (Streak Begins) - - W/ Paul Bearer Vs Roddy Piper (Previously Jimmy Snuka) Reason: Could you image the build up to this match? Who could be better to bring the spotlight on to the Undertaker's debut Wrestlemania match than the Hot Rod himself, Roddy Piper. This could have been Roddy's biggest moment at wrestlemania to date and could have developed a green gimmick ridden Undertaker to the next level in his growing period.

WRESTLEMANIA 8 - - Vs Sid (Previously Jake Roberts) Reason: Sid main eventing with Hulk Hogan was not remembered fondly, but would it have been remembered if the pieces of the puzzle were shuffled around. Sid was a big heel at the time and what a way for the Undertaker to show his critics that he's the real deal than by defeating Sid five years earlier than what actually happened, and this would also have saved Sid from that awful clash with Hulk Hogan?. Now not forgetting why Jake has been replaced, Sid could have added a more believable threat to the Undertaker than Roberts brought to the table in another clash that time forgot.

WRESTLEMANIA 9 - - W/ Paul Bearer Vs Bam Bam Bigelow (Previously Giant Gonzales) Reason: There is a 100% certaincy that anyone on the roster at that time could have pulled a better performance than Gonzales, but that being said the fans deserved a better match than what they were offered in this shoddy excuse of an encounter. The Factor of giants at the grandest stage of them all has been a vision to the WWE Chairman Vince Mcmahon, but has nearly always backfired as other matches on the card put those matches to shame. So if there had to be a giant at Wrestlemania 9, who better to add to the match with the Undertaker than Bam Bam Bigelow. The speed, agility and athleticism that Bam Bam brought the the mix would certainly have showed a different side of the Undertaker that the fans had not yet witnessed.

WRESTLEMANIA 10 - - Missed Due To Injury

WRESTLEMANIA 11 - - Vs Diesel (Previously King Kong Bundy) Reason: As the earlier Wrestlemania's proved, Bundy was unable to hold together a entertaining match with anyone, so replacing Bundy was almost necessary to salvage the Wrestlemania that has garnered the name, "the worst of all time".So who could the Million Dollar Corporation have to represent them at wrestlemania with the Undertaker?... Big Daddy Cool Diesel! As Diesels Match with Undertaker at Wrestlemania 12 proved, He Was the right guy in the right place but at the wrong time.He seemed like a genuine threat to the Deadman, a guy you would have no doubt but to believe that he would be able to destroy the Undertaker.

WRESTLEMANIA 12 -- Vs Ultimate Warrior (Previously Diesel) Reason: Imagine the atmosphere of this dream encounter, that would surely be an instant classic, Two of the biggest Superstars go at it on the grand stage of Wrestlemania. With Warrior returning after a long hiatus to destroy Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a squash match at Wrestlemania, it makes the mind boggle as to how it could have been panned out differently. The Undertaker in a match with the Warrior could have instantaneously been more ground shaking than a match with the stale Big Daddy Cool Diesel, who was rapidly losing popularity at the time.

WRESTLEMANIA 13 - - Vs Bret Hart W/ The Hart Foundation (Previously Sycho Sid) Reason: With Bret Hart in the limelight at the time with his Faction the Hart Foundation solidly behind him, Bret was the most hated man in the WWF.So what if Austin Vs Hart and the double turn never happened, and we saw a Bret Hart Vs Undertaker match instead? Its safe to say that the wrestling business would look a hell of a lot different to what actually happened. With Bret Hart in the ring and The Hart Foundation at ringside, the match would be a technical encounter that could have brought a heel Hitman dethrone the Deadman of his Wrestlemania crown.

WRESTLEMANIA 14 - - Vs Kane W/ Paul Bearer (No Change) Reason: The Feud with Kane and Paul Bearer was one of the biggest ever storylines of all time in professional wrestling history, and replacing this classic encounter between "Blood Family" from Wrestlemania with another match would be truly a huge mistake. The chemistry between Undertaker and Kane is just so natural, its almost as if they were destined to do battle together.

WRESTLEMANIA 15 - - Vs Cactus Jack W/ Paul Bearer (Previously Big Boss Man) Reason: A match that almost seemed to last forever and never end, but thankfully it did. The Undertaker vs The Big BossMan failed to capture any attention from the crowd, Even when the gimmick match was Hell in a Cell. When you think of opponents of the Undertaker during the late 90's period, you will mention Mick Foley/Mankind. So if you were going to change things, you change the competitor and the match stipulation if needed.Undertaker's history with Mick Foley and also Paul Bearer could have followed up with a match at the big one with his nemesis of many years. But would the fans get the same thrill of another Mankind/Undertaker match? Then again Mankind vs Undertaker could be done in many ways. So a stipulation with Paul Bearer or Mick Foley as a different persona would intrigue the fans to watch another epic battle but with everything turned on its head.

WRESTLEMANIA 16 - - Injured WRESTLEMANIA 17 - - Vs Triple H (No Change) Reason: HHH and Undertaker had what can be called a all out fight, with the action spilling into the crowds and all over the building. With some amazing spots, this match still was not the match it could have been in terms of their history together, but it was still a match that had lots of storyline value to it and that's why its not been changed.

WRESTLEMANIA 18 - - Vs Jeff Hardy Hell in a Cell Match (Previously Ric Flair) Reason: Undertaker was impressed by Jeff Hardy's incredible Toughness and what a way to test that in a match at Wrestlemania, If Jeff Hardy kept pushing Undertaker to fight him, their Wrestlemania match could have propelled Jeff Hardy to the sky and above, because of Hardy's hard hitting, no risk style arsenal of moves, he would make a refreshing new challenge and bring a different style of offence to the Undertaker than his previous opponents have delivered. And Jeff could deliver a super Swanton Bomb off of the Cell for an iconic Hardy moment.

WRESTLEMANIA 19 - - Vs Bill Goldberg (Previously Big Show & A Train) Reason: The Original plan of Undertaker and Nathan Jones vs Big Show and A Train was scrapped last minute due to Jones' lack of moveset, leaving Undertaker and Big Show and A Train in a really arkward match to work. But what if Goldberg were to have been there instead of Show and Train? Unknown at the time Goldberg would only stay with the WWE for a year, so Goldberg's first and only Wrestlemania match at Wrestlemania 20 would be a disaster due to public knowledge of both Lesnar and Goldbergs intentions of leaving, the connection between the babyface Goldberg and the fans was broken as he was seen as a sell out. But would Bill Goldberg be seen as the man to end the streak prior to the word leaking out to the public of him leaving WWE?

WRESTLEMANIA 20 - - W/ Paul Bearer Vs Kane (No Change) Reason: Again the feud with Kane made it a interesting battle even though it was obvious this time around that Kane wouldn't win, but the two super heavyweights still put on a good match. This would be the return of the original Undertaker, not the American Badass version, and he would return under the management of longtime and former manager Paul Bearer.

WRESTLEMANIA 21 - - Vs Randy Orton w/ "Ace" Bob Orton (No Change) Reason: This match single handedly changed the "Legend Killer" Randy Orton, from taking on former superstars such as Mick Foley and Dusty Rhodes, and many other legends, but none can compare to the legend of the Undertaker. Although Randy did not succeed at Wrestlemania, the seeds were planted for the soon to be Apex Predator of the WWE to become world champion and many other titles to follow.

WRESTLEMANIA 22 - - Vs Chris Benoit (Previously Mark Henry) Reason: What in the world could possibly make anyone believe that JBL could defeat the "Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benoit? What a wasted opportunity that could have been huge! Chris Benoit had the aggression that could certainly put even the "Deadman" on Ice if they met at Wrestlemania. The match that actually happened featuring "The Worlds Strongest Man" Mark Henry was a good match on paper, but in demonstration it proved to be a regrettable decision for the bookers of that match. But what if you had Undertaker Vs Chris Benoit instead? That would be a match that would certainly put hairs on the back of your neck stand up, The aggression of Benoit and the cold ruthless style of the Undertaker would be only worthy of a Wrestlemania event.

WRESTLEMANIA 23 - - Vs Mr Kennedy (Previously Batista) Reason: The Loud mouth from Green Bay, Wisconsin, had what could be said as one of the most promising looking future's that has ever been, but was somehow scrapped during mid push and sent him down the card back to square one. So what if Mr Kennedy had faced the Undertaker at Wrestlemania to continue the feud he had with the deadman around that time?It could have led to a huge career for Kennedy and Undertaker could have really given him the rub which any up and coming wrestler could only dream of.

WRESTLEMANIA 24 - - Vs Edge w/ EdgeHeads Vs Batista (World Heavyweight Championship) (Previously Edge) Reason: The history between these three men has been bloody, violent and extreme to say the least. So what could be better than the three battle it out for one last time for the world heavyweight championship at wrestlemania. So the intrigue is even higher with it being the Undertakers first ever triple threat match at Wrestlemania.

WRESTLEMANIA 25 - - Vs Shawn Michaels (No Change) Reason: The 5 star match between the Showstopper and the Phenom truly defined what a wrestling should be and how you should perform at the best you can to get the best results possible. This match aswell as the Edge match could not be edited or changed because they were simply perfect, because sometimes you can't enhance some things any more than they already are.

WRESTLEMANIA 26 - - and Kane w/ Paul Bearer Vs Triple H & Shawn Michaels w/ Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, X-Pac & Chyna (Previously Shawn Michaels) Reason: With both Triple H and Shawn Michaels failing to accomplish the unthinkable on their own, they decide to team up and break the streak together as D-Generation-X.So they have a reunion with the other DX members; Billy Gunn, Road Dogg & X-Pac to work together to rid the WWE of the Undertaker. What could possibly make DX stand out when lined up against other famous factions such as the Four Horsemen, Evolution and even the NWO?...Conquering the Streak! With DX proposing a tag team match at Wrestlemania for the streak, who else could the Undertaker have as his partner other than his own "Brother" Kane to stand by his side as he battles his biggest challenge to date. The WWE universe is stunned by the return of Paul Bearer to manage the Brothers of Destruction for the first time ever at Wrestlemania as they go into the event as a united family against DX. As the match goes on, the new age Outlaws and X-Pac get involved physically and this leads to an epic moment where Undertaker and Kane double team the whole of DX. When its all but over, a Huge return from Chyna distracts the Deadman and Kane which gives DX the chance to get back in control of the match. But even that is not enough to hold back the Brothers as the end the match with a double tombstone to HHH and Shawn Michaels for the 1,2,3. This sounds like a epic battle for the crowds while giving a nostalgia moment and a way to signal an end of a Era.

WRESTLEMANIA 27 - - Vs Sting (Previously Triple H) Reason: The "Iconic" battle between the two most darkest characters the wrestling business has ever seen in Sting and the Undertaker could have worked if WWE were willing to work with TNA and try for a one match Contract for Sting to wrestle the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 28 and then return to TNA for his Hall Of Fame Induction. Due to WWE refusing to even acknowledge TNA's existence, this proved that a relationship between the two company's will never happen, but you just image what could and what SHOULD have happened while both men were healthier and fitter.

WRESTLEMANIA 28 - - Vs Sheamus (Previously Triple H) Reason: Had the Celtic Warrior Sheamus not faced Daniel Bryan, this encounter could have boosted Sheamus down a different career path and he possibly could have had an even bigger career down the road, With the real Wrestlemania plans of Triple H Vs Undertaker for two more Wrestlemania's, this could have been an opportunity for new stars to work with the legendary Deadman and gain invaluable experience from it.

WRESTLEMANIA 29 - - Vs Cm Punk (No Change) Reason: A unbelievable Match between the Phenom and The Best in the world at Wrestlemania 29, but the build up to this amazing clash was a disgusting and inappropriate storyline that could easily have been changed and without any body feeling offended or being disrespected yet still have Paul Bearer used in the story.

WRESTLEMANIA 30 - - Vs John Cena (Previously Brock Lesnar) John Cena, issues a challenge to the deadman after beating Ric Flair's record of 16 world championships to a match at wrestlemania after weeks of taunts from the Deadman. The darkside vs the Cenation leader in an epic at Wrestlemania, for one night only the voice of wrestling Jim Ross returns to call this battle of immortals. The Atmosphere would be immense, the chance of the streak ending would be higher than ever before and the crowd would know it. The history of the Undertaker and John Cena's careers paralleling over the last decade has almost teased an inevitable clash but never happened on the big stage of Wrestlemania. But if this clash were to have happened, we would have seen a different ending to the Undertakers career? And with John Cena being a safer worker than Brock, could the Undertaker have had the best match of his career with Cena and without a Concussion?

WRESTLEMANIA 31 - - Headline the Hall of Fame class of 2015 (Previously Vs Bray Wyatt)
