Slammiversary Predictions and Analysis.
- Moose vs. Rob Van Dam - Winner: Moose ✔
This is a must win match for Moose, who is coming hot off the heels of a repackaging as a singles star again. While RVD is as legendary as he is, Moose has got to beat him to secure a big time moment and blaze his new trail to the world championship.
- First Blood Match: Eddie Edwards vs. Killer Kross - Winner: Killer Kross ✘
This brutal war between the two has built up to implode at Slammiversary, with a first blood match in the works to settle the bitter feud between the two. I think we'll see kenny 2.0 get destroyed like his predicessor, and Kross will sadly dismantle poor Eddie.
- Sami Callihan vs. Tessa Blanchard - Winner: Sami Callihan ✔
While a feel good moment for Tessa would be great to see after the antics and bullying from Callihan and crew [the oVe boys], I think Sami should and needs to win this to preserve his image as a top challenger in Impact Wrestling to any champion on any given night. A galliant defeat would mean more for Tessa than a win, As a possible rematch down the line would provide the redemption story for her in this gender war.
- World Tag Team Championships: LAX vs. The Rascalz - Winners: The Rascalz *New Champions*✘
With a Freebird style switch around seeing Trey Miguel replace Zachary Wentz to team with Dezmond Xavier at Slammiversary against the reigning and defending tag team champions LAX (Santana and Ortiz), I believe this will be the Rascal combination that will defeat the dominant Hispancic tag team to top the tag division. With Trey cheating and getting involved in a recent tag team title match on Impact! and pinning the tag champs in a short lived title win moment, that was quickly reversed by the original referee who was knocked down, Trey could repeat history and do it again at #Slamm!
- Four Way Knockouts Monsters Ball Match for Knockouts Championship: Taya (c) vs. Havoc vs. Rosemary vs. Su Yung - Winner: Taya ✔
I see this being another cheap win for Taya with maybe an assist from Rosemary to set up a match between the two. While my second pick would be Su Yung, Su could upset James Mitchell's new monster in Havoc and the other knockouts and win the belt for herself, leading to a Havoc vs. Yung showdown for the title on a later date as Yung and Havoc aren't on good terms.
- X-Division Championship: Johnny Impact vs. Rich Swann (c) - Winner: Johnny Impact *New Champion* ✘
Johnny X-Division is the next title and name for Johnny Impact to add to his already golden trophy shelf. With the stoodge himself John E. Bravo at his side, I think Johnny will screw Swann out of his lengthy time as X Champion.
- Impact World Championship: Brian Cage (c) vs. Michael Elgin - Winner: Brian Cage ✔
I would love nothing more than to see Cage walk in and out of Slammiversary with the gold but I think that his reign as champion hasn't been what any of us, most of all Brian dreamt it would be. It hasn't been a legendary one due to injury, But a Slammiversary fresh start with a win over Elgin would put his time as champion back on the right track. The Machine is back!
