As of May 2019, the National Wrestling Alliance [NWA] under Captain [Billy] Corgan's command is yet to provide any evidence that it is serious on becoming the major player it once was. For a start, running the odd PPV whenever they feel like it, or the NWA World Champion having to fight on the cards of established promotions because he has no company home for his belt, It's not difficult to see why a star like Willie Mack, who got screwed over by the company in my eyes, would choose to stay with the non-existent NWA over signing with IMPACT Wrestling, who have time and time again over these past two years that they are sticking around for good. Not to mention having possibly the best and most unified management it's ever had.
NWA World Champ Nick Aldis made a splash on Twitter, running down Willie Mack in a now taken down tweet blasting Impact Wrestling and Mack in the process. Since Mack has joined Impact, he has been a permanent feature in the programming and a regular on the shows they run every month, with almost a certainty of air time EACH week. Now look at Mack in the NWA, Rarely fights in a ring that was built by NWA staff, and ON PPV he was jobbed to COLT CABANA. Now this wasn't even a last minute thing, it was a plan all along! So for me, If that's the kind of BS that the NWA are going to pull, Mack had a lucky escape...
