While they have been in Impact for a good while now, The Desi Hit Squad haven't had much success despite one half and the original member Rohit Raju winning Impact's Global Forged competition to earn a contract with Impact Wrestling, and to be fair that was before the faction was founded.
The group has had three different incarnations under the guidance of manager and coach Gama Singh, With the original being Rohit and Gursinder Singh, But when a loser must head back to India match set up by Gama to strengthen them up led to Rohit being all by himself, Gama went and brought in his son Raj, who has since filled the void of Singh. This tandem has worked very well together, but still it hasn't been enough to garner a push from the management and creative. After a great length of time with no real direction, Now must be the time to let the Desi Hit Squad become a serious threat to the division and the tag team belts.
With a recent string of victory's for the team in singles and tag matches over the newcomers, The Deaners (Cody and Cousin Jake), this could be the start of something special for the group as a major Indian faction could become headliners for the first time in the new era. With Gama as a manager, It is just brilliant. His presence and influence just adds to the group as Ric Flair did for Evolution. Plus, I can't not mention Gama's dicky heart, His heart attack ploy at ringside for a distraction is hilarious, and does the trick to get his boys the win!
