It has been a result of the WWE's mentality as of late, Use up all of the tricks in bag before the shows over. Meaning that the WWE don't plan for the long-run, and just plan for the short term, And the End of the Streak was a short term deal that has proved to be one of the worst decisions they have ever made. Many Wrestlers and Millions of fans have voiced they're anger and disapproval of the Ending of the Streak, And its of no surprise, Considering how popular and of how Deserved it was for The Undertaker himself.
Even though they chose the most believable to have ended the Streak, Why Brock Lesnar deserved it is beyond comprehension, When there's a whole lockeroom of eager and hungry stars waiting for their chance to show the world. Another thing is why they felt Brock was the Man to do it, When Everyone knows that wrestling is fixed, So why cross real and fake in a fake world? Because in the world of Pro Wrestling, absolutely anything and everything is possible, And it doesn't need an explanation or a lecture telling us why it happened because it is fake and people know its fake. So With that theory in place, A sixty year old Hulk Hogan could beat the Undertaker and still it wouldn't be questioned how that is possible, Because its Pro Wrestling, But it might be questioned why him over someone else. As to a REAL fight between Hogan and the Undertaker, Lesnar would be the better option as it is real as compared to a fake and scripted world.
Now back to the question whether it should have ended or not, The answer is No, It should have stayed unbroken. It was the One consistency in a world of change in pro wrestling, Us fans enjoyed seeing him defend it every year. It was what made Wrestlemania so special, It was one of the headline acts that drew in the money and left the fans at the event and watching on the Telly go home or go to bed with a smile on their face.
