Wrestling Express returns to Through The Ropes turf with two tough questions in their Interaction articles!
Michael Clinco: What made you become a wrestling fan and why do you keep coming back to wrestling?
Jack: "It's probably the same story as a good majority of fans, WWE was what got me started off at a very young age, But I believe it was a WWE video game for me that started me off, The SmackDown vs.. Raw game in 2005, I think I was about eight but I honestly can't remember, because it's always been in my life. Around the time of getting into WWE, I went to local wrestling events and I think that it established my love for pro wrestling, the feel of the shows and not just the fancy stages and fireworks. The local shows were barebones, Just lights and music in a posh concert hall. I can't really say what it was that attracted me, maybe it was the fact that at such a young age, It was a cool thing...
However, Around 2010, going into '11, I felt although I started to lose my passion for wrestling, despite watching and loving the old stuff and the Indie shows just the same, WWE's new programming just wasn't the same anymore. It really made me confused. Then I came across TNA on Challenge TV in the UK, and it completely reassured me that my passion was indeed wrestling and nothing else. It made me realise that what I enjoyed in wrestling was the in-ring ability, good wrestling matches and not just the WWE style brawls and boring matches all the time. I still love watching WWE content, Just not the new era from '10 onwards, bar a few matches with some of my favourites, to me it is just the same old ditty every week, nothing payed off for my loyal fanship. As you're aware from my previous articles, I'm a deep admirer of the work of Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels, aswell as Gail Kim, Madison Rayne and Mickie James, Men and Women who truly put on a display as to just being there for merely as a showman like The Rock or someone who is just the look like Brock Lesnar. What makes me come back is the thrill of seeing another good match, Getting antsy and having my breath taken away from me. To be able to just, even if for one moment, truly believe that wrestling was real again."
